A fisherman statue created by Frank Vitale, a Californian artist and descendent of immigrants from Isola delle Femmine who settled in Pittsburg, California. The statue was originally created in Pittsburg to commemorate the ties of Pittsburg's early Sicilan settlers to fishing and a copy was later sent to Isola delle Femmine to mark the sister-city connection between the two ports.
The statue in this photo sits in the Piazza di Pittsburg in Isola's harbour.
