Description
Looking up at the Shard, in London Bridge Quarter on the South Bank of the Thames. Completed in 2012 and standing 1016 feet tall, the Shard is the tallest building in the UK and was the tallest in Europe at the time of completion. Since then it has been overtaken and is now 6th tallest in Europe. Designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano, the Shard has 95 floors containing offices for 32 companies, 10 restaurants, a five-star hotel and the UK's highest viewing gallery, The View From The Shard.
This photograph is a four minute long exposure taken on a sunny January afternoon.
